THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE IN THE FRASER VALLEY – EXACT LOCATION AND MEETUP POINT/TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED.
All-wheel-drive crossovers and compact SUVs require special attention to their unibody design to get them unstuck without damage. This course focuses on how to get your vehicle moving again without putting either it or yourself in danger.
Following introductions and housekeeping, the day will start by going over the special considerations for “Soft-Roader” vehicle recovery, including looking at the strengths and weaknesses of each of the vehicles present.
Next will be an overview of equipment commonly used in recovery, which leads into the “stuck assessment 360” and helps you to formulate a recovery plan. With a basic understanding of common gear and planning, we’ll dive into demonstrations and hands-on practice with gear such as Tractions Boards, Jacks, and Recovery Ropes.
By the end of this action-packed day, you will have learned new skills, built your confidence, and made new friends. You’ll be better prepared to deal with situations that may come up on your next adventure!
BE SURE TO BRING:
No additional equipment is required, although we strongly recommend you have a full-size spare. Part of the day will be learning about the types of tools available, to help you with your own purchasing decisions. You’re welcome to bring and ask questions about any other equipment you already own, particularly air-down/air-up tools.
Cost of this event is $125 for current 4WDABC individual members. Each person attending will require their own ticket. This will be a very busy and action-packed day, so please, no children or pets.
